At the discussion meeting, Governor Kim emphasized not only active fundraising activities during the year-end and New Year period but also thorough review of election laws in accordance with the 180-day application of local elections, preparation for the government joint evaluation, promotion of Gurye愛 address acquisition, preparation for hosting the 2024 Jeollanam-do Sports Festival, COVID-19 quarantine, and strict quarantine for farms due to AI outbreaks, ensuring smooth operation of pending tasks.
Gurye-gun plans to actively promote fundraising activities to widely spread the culture of sharing and donation in the region.
Through the Hope 2022 Sharing Campaign donation fundraising, support will be provided to Gurye residents for living expenses and medical costs. The fundraising target for next year has been raised by 10% from about 190 million won last year to about 210 million won, with fundraising continuing until January 31 of next year.
Additionally, Gurye-gun will promote Red Cross membership fee collection targeting household heads, individual business owners, and corporations to accelerate the creation of a warm atmosphere in Gurye.
The Red Cross membership fee collection will be conducted year-round, with a concentrated fundraising period until January 31 of next year. To achieve the target amount of 39 million won, household heads will be charged 10,000 won, individual business owners 30,000 won or more, professional business owners 50,000 won or more, and corporations 100,000 won or more.
In particular, the county will promote fundraising by related organizations and groups, as well as at the village level, and actively promote through LED electronic display boards in towns and townships, village chief meetings, and meetings of institutions and organizations.
Governor Kim Soon-ho said, “Promote actively so that the target amount can be achieved through fundraising activities,” and urged, “Encourage voluntary participation and strive to create a year-end and New Year atmosphere where everyone can be happy.”
Meanwhile, the county operates two 'Hope Sharing Stores' in Gurye-eup and Sandong-myeon, where donated goods can be distributed free of charge, to provide an opportunity to practice sharing in daily life with the spirit of helping others and to expand the culture of sharing.
