AP Technology Participates in FI Europe Exhibition... "Targeting Europe with Momyu Oligosaccharides and Mamstamin"

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] AP Technology, a company specializing in Human Milk Oligosaccharides (HMO), announced on the 6th that it participated in the international food ingredients exhibition 'FI Europe,' held from the 30th of last month to the 2nd of this month (local time).

'FI Europe' is a leading European food ingredients and materials exhibition, serving as an international exchange platform attended by buyers from the global food industry. Previously, 'FI (Food Ingredients) Europe' and 'HI (Health Ingredients) Europe' were held alternately every other year, but from this year, the two exhibitions have been integrated, expanding the scale. Approximately 850 global companies participated in this year's event.

At this exhibition, AP Technology introduced Korean-made Human Milk Oligosaccharides and promoted its health functional food brand 'Momstamin,' based on its core ingredient 2’-FL (2’-Fucosyllactose). With the upcoming Novel Food approval from the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) expected in the first half of next year, inquiries from overseas buyers surged. The Novel Food system recognizes foods that were not previously classified as edible in Europe as food after proving their safety and efficacy for human consumption.

A company representative stated, "We are at the stage of promoting Momstamin to the global market by participating in various international conferences held in Asia, the United States, and Europe," adding, "As the functionality of Human Milk Oligosaccharides is gaining worldwide attention, significant performance growth is expected next year."

They continued, "To expand overseas market entry, there is great interest from overseas distributors and buyers responsible for distribution and sales."

AP Technology is a company that developed HMO production technology using an internationally patented bio-process. It has obtained GRAS certification from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and food ingredient approval from the Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, and recently entered the global market through Amazon. In October, it also participated in 'Supply Side West 2021' held in Los Angeles (LA), USA.

Human Milk Oligosaccharides are representative components found in high concentrations only in breast milk, performing functions such as forming a healthy gut microbiome, expelling harmful bacteria and viruses, activating immunity, and promoting brain cell growth and protection. Among them, 2’-FL, which accounts for the highest proportion, is known to help the human body form its own defense system.
