Eugene Seop Jeongeup Mayor, Fully Committed to Identifying and Supporting Welfare Blind Spots in Winter

[Jeongeup=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] Yoo Jin-seop, mayor of Jeongeup City, Jeonbuk, has instructed to make thorough efforts to identify and support welfare blind spots during the winter season.

At the video executive meeting held on the 6th, Mayor Yoo said, "Winter is an even more difficult time for vulnerable groups and crisis households, including economically struggling families, elderly people living alone, and children in crisis who need care," adding, "We must pay special attention to ensure that no welfare marginalized groups arise."

He continued, "Through community linkage and the establishment of human safety nets, promptly connect public support and private assistance after identifying vulnerable groups to prevent any welfare gaps."

Furthermore, he emphasized, "As the year-end and New Year approach, sharing activities to help neighbors in need are continuing in Jeongeup, and the 'Hope 2022 Sharing Campaign' is underway with the slogan 'Sharing, a social vaccine for all.'"

He then requested, "Although everyone is facing difficulties due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, I ask that many citizens participate in delivering warm sharing and love."

Along with this, Mayor Yoo instructed to thoroughly respond to prevent any laxity in official discipline or negligence in work that may arise from the festive social atmosphere at the year-end and New Year, and to take special vigilance. He also ordered to make every effort in carrying out urgent tasks such as discovering differentiated tourism content following the partial lifting of the Naejangsan National Park area.
