Gwangyang City, Calligrapher Choi Moon-kyu Presents 'Jilongjeon' During Break


[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] Gwangyang City, Jeollanam-do, announced that from the 11th, it will present the exhibition "Jilongjeon" by artist Hujeong Choi Moon-kyu in the first-floor exhibition hall of the Culture and Arts Center.


This exhibition features about 45 calligraphy works, including self-composed poems by Hujeong, who is an active member of the Gwangyang branch of the Korea Fine Arts Association and designated as a master by the Korea Calligraphy and Fine Arts Federation.


The diverse calligraphy styles of the artist, who is celebrating his eightieth birthday, combined with his Korean poems, are expected to provide comfort to visitors' hearts and elevate the exhibition's dignity.


The Gwangyang City Culture and Arts Center will encourage safe viewing by adhering to the COVID-19 phased daily recovery quarantine guidelines.


Tak Young-hee, Director of Culture and Arts, said, "I hope the local artists' invitational exhibition will be a time for emotional communication and empathy with the artists," and added, "We will strive to provide participation spaces to expand the base of local cultural and artistic talents."
