[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] HiteJinro's annual export value has surpassed 100 million dollars.
HiteJinro announced on the 6th that it achieved a triple crown at the '58th Trade Day Awards' hosted by the Korea International Trade Association, winning the '100 Million Dollar Export Tower,' the 'Special Tower (Brand Tower),' and the 'Export Company Employee Award (Industrial Medal).'
From July 2020 to June 2021, HiteJinro exported over 100 million dollars worth of products, including soju. Thanks to the strong sales of Chamisul, it also received the 'Brand Tower,' awarded only to brands that export more than 10 million dollars. Additionally, HiteJinro's Overseas Business Division Executive Director Hwang Jeong-ho was awarded the 'Industrial Medal' in recognition of efforts to pioneer the soju market in the global liquor industry, improve export performance, and promote Korean liquor culture, achieving a total of three awards.
Since declaring the globalization of soju in 2016 and actively promoting Korean soju, HiteJinro has continuously focused on nurturing strategic export countries, expanding sales channels, and conducting customized promotions by country. In particular, to overcome the COVID-19 situation, the company concentrated on online marketing, strengthening TV advertisements (including launching a global integrated YouTube channel), and expanding the home market (convenience stores, large supermarkets, etc.), which was evaluated as a key factor in its swift response.
