G9 Wins 'Triple Crown' at the 2021 Korea Advertising Awards G9's 'Instagram Escape Room Game Campaign' won a total of three awards, including the Gold Prize, at the '2021 Korea Advertising Awards'.


[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] G9 announced on the 6th that its 'Instagram Escape Room Game Campaign' won a total of three awards, including the Gold Prize, at the '2021 Korea Advertising Awards.'


The Korea Advertising Awards, hosted by the Korea Federation of Advertising Associations and sponsored by the Korea Communications Commission, is the most prestigious advertising award in the Korean advertising industry. Awards are given across all advertising media including TV, digital, print, and outdoor, divided into 13 general categories and 3 special categories.


A total of 92 companies submitted about 2,500 entries, and after preliminary and final judging, 69 works were selected as winners. G9 won the Gold Prize in the 'Social Communication' category for the Instagram Escape Room Game Campaign, as well as Bronze Prizes in the 'Branded Content' and 'Promotion' categories.


The award-winning G9 'Instagram Escape Room Game Campaign' was an SNS marketing campaign conducted twice, in November last year and March this year. It was a non-face-to-face escape room game promotion designed to provide fresh fun to customers who have become accustomed to staying at home due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic. The campaign added enjoyment by allowing participants to solve missions through deduction while discovering hidden prizes within the game. The company explained that the campaign received great response, with a total of about 370,000 participants.


Jungyeop Lee, Head of Marketing at G9, said, "It is very meaningful that the campaign, which was launched to provide customers with fun and a unique shopping experience, received great response and won three awards at the Korea Advertising Awards. We will continue to develop new content that can offer fresh shopping experiences to our customers."
