[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyun-joo] Lee Jun-seok, leader of the People Power Party, directly refuted the so-called 'Lee Core Group (key associates of Lee Jun-seok)' allegations raised by the Garosero Research Institute (Gaseyeon).

Attorney Kang Yong-seok claimed on his Facebook on the 3rd that there was internal disruption within the 'Lee Core Group.' He then revealed their personal information through his YouTube channel 'Garosero Research Institute (Gaseyeon)' that he operates.

Kang stated, "There is a group chat called the so-called 'Junseok-dan,'" adding, "They can be seen as the Lee Core Group and are the main instigators and perpetrators of disruption within the People Power Party."

In particular, he identified Park Jong-won, public relations aide to the party leader of the People Power Party, as part of the Lee Core Group, saying, "I think he might be the friend who ran as an independent in Goyang-eul," but it was later revealed that a different person's profile was used in the broadcast.

In response, Park posted on his Facebook on the 4th, expressing regret over Gaseyeon's broadcast containing completely false information, stating, "The person mentioned has no connection, I was born in 1986, and I have never run for an elected position."

He added, "There were various unverified and factually incorrect statements made, causing many misunderstandings and contacts from numerous people," and said, "I tried to contact Gaseyeon several times, but either they did not respond or the person who answered said it was the weekend and spoke about manners, which was quite embarrassing and even included insulting remarks. They even asked if I was from Honam, leaving me speechless."

He concluded, "If there is no apology or correction broadcast, I will consider legal action," and requested responsible reporting from the influential YouTube program with many subscribers, emphasizing, "I absolutely refuse to have the honor of an individual and their family defamed in this way."

On the 4th, Lee also shared Park's post, stating, "Since the party convention, Park, the public relations aide who helped me, belongs to the party leader's secretariat," and added, "Almost all my schedules are accompanied by the chief of the escort team, the political affairs director, and the public relations aide."

He further explained, "Except for official events such as the April 3rd victims' meeting and the Yeosu massacre victims' meeting during this schedule, no party funds were spent."
