Korea Automobile Journalists Association Selects Genesis GV60 as "Car of the Month" for December

[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] The Korea Automobile Journalists Association announced on the 6th that the Genesis GV60 has been selected as the Car of the Month for December.

The Car of the Month is announced after the association's Car of the Year selection committee evaluates new and facelifted models released during the entire previous month, from the 1st to the end of the month.

The evaluation criteria consist of five categories: ▲Interior/exterior design and emotional quality ▲Safety and convenience features ▲Powertrain performance ▲Energy efficiency and greenhouse gas emissions ▲Marketability and purchase intention.

Among the new cars released in November, the BMW New X3, BMW iX, and Genesis GV60 (listed in brand alphabetical order) were nominated for Car of the Month for December, with the Genesis GV60 receiving 40 points out of 50 and ultimately being selected as the Car of the Month.

The Genesis GV60 received a high score of 8.7 out of 10 in the energy efficiency and greenhouse gas emissions category and scored 8.3 in the safety and convenience features category.

Ryu Jong-eun, Chairperson of the Car of the Year selection committee, stated, “The Genesis GV60 stands out with its design that embodies dynamic elegance and driving performance as powerful as a sports car, with a maximum driving range of 451 km on a single charge.”

He added, “The GV60, the first Genesis electric vehicle built on the dedicated electric vehicle platform E-GMP, is also characterized by the inclusion of numerous innovative technologies that interact with passengers.”
