[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyun-joo] Yoon Seok-yeol, the presidential candidate of the People Power Party, appeared on 'Gourmet Heo Young-man's Baekban Journey' and revealed that his wife, Kim Geon-hee, opposed his political challenge.

On that day, Yoon, who went on a food journey with Heo Young-man, revealed that cooking is his hobby. He said, "I don't often eat at home, but when I cook dishes I want to eat and put them on the table, my wife and I eat together."

Yoon also said that his wife Kim opposed his political challenge, saying, "She said if I was going to do politics, we should go to the family court and get a stamp. She was very against it."

Regarding his immediate challenge for the presidency after retiring as Prosecutor General, he said, "I was hesitant. It's like a public official suddenly starting a large company," but added, "It wasn't just me making it alone; many people said they would participate, so I decided to run for president."

He also said, "When you start politics, you go around markets. Politics is partly about achieving a regime change, but on the other hand, it feels like a good (public sentiment) study. There is a lot to learn."

Meanwhile, on the same day, Lee Jae-myung, the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party of Korea, also appeared as a guest diner on 'Gourmet Heo Young-man's Baekban Journey.' Lee and Heo visited a gamakjip in Euljiro, Seoul, and had lunch baekban together.
