“Come to Jeonju, where the World Culture Week and Bibimbap Festival are held!”

[Jeonju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] On the 3rd, Jeonju City attended the '12th Meeting with Heads of Foreign Missions in Korea' hosted by the Korea Council of Governors at the Hyatt Hotel Namsan in Seoul to promote Jeonju as a tourism hub city.

Jeonju City introduced the 'Jeonju World Culture Week,' recognized as an excellent case of international exchange since 2016 in collaboration with embassies and cultural centers of countries such as the United States, Spain, the United Kingdom, and France, to over 100 diplomatic envoys including ambassadors of foreign missions in Korea and international relations ambassadors of provinces and cities. It also introduced the 'Jeonju Bibimbap Festival,' a representative gourmet festival of Jeonju, known as the hometown of flavors.

While explaining Jeonju as a tourism hub city, the city also requested cooperation from each embassy in promoting Jeonju in the future.

In this regard, Jeonju City is strengthening its overseas network by inviting heads of major foreign missions in Korea from Spain, Italy, Denmark, and sister (friendly) city officials, and by signing online Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) to strengthen exchanges with Singapore and Suzhou, China.
