Jinju City to Host Laser Light Show at Mangjinsan Steel Tower

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] A laser show will be held at the KBS steel tower on Mangjinsan Mountain in Jinju-si, Gyeongnam, from the 4th to the 12th.

The Mangjinsan laser show, held simultaneously with the Namgang Yudeung Festival, is themed around the "Battle of Jinju Fortress" and will be performed four times daily at 6 PM, 7 PM, 8 PM, and 9 PM for 9 minutes each during the event period. However, on the first day, the 4th, the show will start from 7 PM due to the opening ceremony.

This show was planned with inspiration from the world-famous Paris Eiffel Tower laser show, and while lanterns float on the Namgang River, the dazzling lights of the laser show in the sky are expected to beautifully decorate the deepening winter night sky of Jinju.

The laser show can be viewed from anywhere in Jinju city where the Mangjinsan KBS steel tower is visible, and it can be especially enjoyed most vividly along the Namgang riverside area in Pyeonggeo-dong.

A city official said, "This laser show, set against the backdrop of the Namgang River and Jinju Fortress, where light and water harmonize, will provide citizens and tourists with a new nighttime attraction alongside the Jinju Namgang Yudeung Festival."
