(CEO: Jeong Byeong-wook) received the Minister of Employment and Labor Award at the ‘2021 NCS (National Competency Standards) Best Practice Competition Award Ceremony.’
The competition, hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and organized by the Human Resources Development Service of Korea to discover excellent cases of reforming personnel systems centered on competencies through the introduction and utilization of NCS, saw participation from 63 companies nationwide. After document and presentation evaluations, 12 companies were awarded, including three companies that received consulting from the Gwangju Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
DR Tech Co., Ltd., which participated in the ‘2021 NCS Corporate Utilization Consulting Project,’ was recognized for its contribution to producing excellent results in NCS corporate utilization and received the top prize, the Minister of Employment and Labor Award. Haneulcheon Co., Ltd. (CEO: Jeon Jong-woon) received the Excellence Award, and Freexa Co., Ltd. (CEO: Kim Eun-soo) received the Encouragement Award, the Chairman’s Award of the Human Resources Development Service of Korea.
DR Tech Co., Ltd. (55 Cheomdan Yeonsin-ro, Buk-gu, Gwangju) is a company that manufactures and sells small home appliances such as ice makers and related parts. It achieved results such as organizational redesign through job analysis based on NCS, establishment of a training system based on competency modeling, and construction of a personnel recruitment system.
In particular, this year, the company introduced an NCS-based blind recruitment system and newly hired 10 employees. It also derived core competencies based on competency modeling and laid the foundation for human resource development capabilities by establishing HRD and HRM systems.
Choi Jong-man, Executive Vice Chairman of the Gwangju Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said, “Despite difficult conditions, companies in our region actively participated and achieved good results,” and added, “We will actively promote the NCS corporate utilization consulting project next year so that more companies can establish NCS-based blind recruitment systems and job-centered education and training systems.”
