[Asia Economy Online Issue Team] Actress Choi Jung-yoon confessed that she experienced financial difficulties during her hiatus. Choi Jung-yoon is currently undergoing divorce proceedings with Yoon Tae-joon, the eldest son of the E-Land Group vice chairman and former member of the boy band Eagle Five.

On the SBS variety show 'Womance is Needed' aired on the 2nd, Choi Jung-yoon stated, "(Regarding the divorce) the situation is exactly as reported in the articles. Usually, the articles say 'divorced,' but mine is still in progress." She added, "This is a matter between my daughter, myself, and her father. The most important thing is my daughter. I do not want to take her father away by my choice," and explained, "If the law permits, I want to wait until my daughter someday says 'it's okay.'"

She then confessed that she has recently been experiencing financial hardship. Choi Jung-yoon said, "Because I have to take responsibility for my daughter, after much thought, I decided to try working part-time," and lamented, "I even uploaded my resume on job sites, but I was disqualified from many due to age restrictions." She also revealed that she looked into part-time work as a caf? server but ultimately gave up because she could not balance it with childcare.

Choi Jung-yoon has been attending real estate agent lectures. At 45 years old this year, she said, "By chance, I learned about the real estate agent certification exam, and while looking for something to do when I am not acting, I started studying. As an actress, I am at an awkward age. There are not many roles for older characters, so I don’t know when I will be able to work again."

Meanwhile, Choi Jung-yoon recently returned to the small screen with a leading role as Do Yeon-hee, a strong yet gentle divorced woman, in the recently concluded SBS drama 'Amor Fati - Love Now.'

On a side note, Choi Jung-yoon married Yoon Tae-joon in 2011 and gave birth to their daughter in November 2016, five years later.
