[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Home&Shopping (CEO Kim Ok-chan) announced on the 3rd that it has supported a total of 100 million KRW for the regional revitalization project 'Bangbanggotgok,' in collaboration with the Broadcasting Content Promotion Foundation (Chairman Kim Dong-min).


'Bangbanggotgok' is a project supporting the production of one-person media content centered on small business owners. The purpose is to encourage voluntary participation of local small business owners who are struggling due to COVID-19, establish a culture of mutual cooperation, and spread the stories of small business owners who are the foundation of local communities.


On the 2nd, the '2021 Regional Revitalization Project ' awards ceremony, hosted by the Broadcasting Content Promotion Foundation and sponsored by Home&Shopping, was held, awarding three outstanding content teams among 18 teams that received content production support. Through this project, a total of 54 one-person media contents were produced over three months, and among them, one grand prize, one excellence award, and one merit award were selected, with a total prize money of 18 million KRW awarded for outstanding content.


Kim Ok-chan, CEO of Home&Shopping, said, "I hope content creators will continue to spread the stories of small business owners across the country." He added, "Home&Shopping will also take responsibility for the development of the broadcasting industry and continue to support broadcasting development projects."
