[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Orion announced on the 3rd that it will hold an event called "Jeong (情) as it is, price and sincerity as they are" targeting popular brands such as "Choco Pie Jeong," "Poca Chip," and "Kkobuk Chip."
This event was prepared to support the people who had a difficult year due to COVID-19 as the year-end approaches. By accessing the QR code on the packages of 13 Orion products including Choco Pie, Poca Chip, and Kkobuk Chip and solving a quiz about Orion's "price freeze," participants are automatically entered into a draw. Until February 13, 2022, 10 winners will be selected weekly by lottery, and a total of 110 people will receive Orion snack gift sets worth approximately 100,000 KRW.
Orion has frozen the prices of all its domestic products for eight consecutive years. Additionally, since 2014, it has increased the quantity of 18 products including Choco Pie and Poca Chip to provide more value to consumers. Through packaging improvements, data-based inventory management, and global integrated purchasing of raw materials, Orion independently offsets the burden of rising costs.
An Orion official said, "This event was planned to support the people who had a difficult year due to COVID-19 and economic recession," and added, "Based on Orion's differentiated product development capabilities, we will continue to provide high-quality products at reasonable prices."
