[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] Kona I announced on the 2nd that it will hold the ‘Win-Win Consumption Dongbaekjeon Stamp Event’ together with Busan City to support local small business owners until the 15th.
The Win-Win Consumption Dongbaekjeon Stamp Event was planned to expand consumption targeting business sectors in crisis due to decreased sales from COVID-19, such as laundries, travel agencies, sports facilities, beauty salons, bathhouses, taxis, and retail stores, as well as marginalized sectors where Dongbaekjeon usage was not active.
During the event period, if you pay 10,000 KRW or more with Dongbaekjeon at the applicable sectors, one stamp will be accumulated per payment. According to the number of stamps held and the total payment amount, rewards will be given as follows: ▲ 10,000 KRW for 2 stamps with a total payment of 100,000 KRW or more ▲ 20,000 KRW for 3 stamps with a total payment of 200,000 KRW or more ▲ 30,000 KRW for 4 stamps with a total payment of 300,000 KRW or more. Any citizen using Dongbaekjeon can participate in the event, and mission achievement status can be checked through the Dongbaekjeon app.
A Kona I official stated, “This event was implemented at the special request of Busan City and is the result of the proactive ideas and execution of public officials who were considering ways to support small business sectors affected by COVID-19 while also providing benefits to users.” He added, “In particular, convenience was enhanced by enabling stamps to be automatically accumulated when event conditions are met, instead of the previous manual method.”
In addition, Kona I has opened self-developed donation services and voting/survey services on the Dongbaekjeon app, and on the 29th of last month launched the public taxi platform ‘Dongbaek Taxi.’ The Dongbaekjeon platform is accelerating the introduction of various services so that it can evolve from a platform supporting basic local currency payment functions such as charging, payment, and usage history confirmation into a ‘community platform’ that coexists and collaborates with the local community.
