Volvo Cars Korea "Donates 300 Million Won to Support Children with Disabilities"

[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Volvo Cars Korea announced on the 2nd that it has donated 300 million KRW to the Purme Foundation for its support project for children with disabilities.

Now in its fifth year, the support project for children with disabilities is a corporate social responsibility activity by Volvo Cars Korea aimed at creating a safe environment where everyone can live as healthy members of society.

To this end, Volvo Cars Korea signed an agreement with the Purme Foundation, a non-profit organization that helps the rehabilitation and independence of people with disabilities, in 2017, and has been sponsoring the support project for children with disabilities every year.

The project fund delivered at the Seoul Songpa exhibition hall on this day will be used to provide assistive devices for posture maintenance, mobility, and treatment for children and adolescents under 18 years old who have disabilities due to congenital factors or accidents, as well as for the operation costs of a children's rehabilitation hospital.

Yoon Mo Lee, CEO of Volvo Cars Korea, said, “Volvo Cars has been considering various ways to create an environment where all children can live more safely and healthily,” and added, “We hope this sponsorship will help children’s rehabilitation and independence even a little.”
