CJ CheilJedang Receives Top Ratings from Leading Domestic and International Institutions for 'ESG Management'

At the 2021 Sustainable Management Awards Ceremony held on the 1st, Jung Gil-geun, Vice President in charge of Sustainable Management at CJ CheilJedang, is receiving the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Commendation in the Comprehensive ESG category from the Vice Minister of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.

[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] CJ CheilJedang announced on the 2nd that it received the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award in the comprehensive ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) category at the '2021 Sustainable Management Government Awards.'

The 'Sustainable Management Government Awards' is the only government award in the sustainable management sector hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, recognizing and awarding outstanding companies that have led the practice and dissemination of sustainable management.

In addition, CJ CheilJedang won the 'ESG Management Grand Prize' for the third consecutive year at the '2021 Global Standard Management Awards' ceremony hosted by the Korea Management Registrar (KMR) on the same day. The company was recognized for leading industrial development through the introduction and active practice of sustainable management. In November, it also received the 'ESG Communication Grand Prize' at the '2021 Korea Communication Awards' hosted by the Korea Internet Communication Association.

CJ CheilJedang's sustainable (ESG) management activities are also recognized through evaluations by several reputable institutions. It has been listed on the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) Asia-Pacific index for seven consecutive years, selected as the top group in the UN Sustainable Development Goals Business Index (SDGBI) global index for three consecutive years, received the highest grade for six consecutive years in the Win-Win Growth Index evaluation, and earned an integrated A grade for five consecutive years in the Korea Corporate Governance Service ESG evaluation, demonstrating top-level assessments.
