Four Peers Tie Up and Group Assault Foreign National Middle School Girl in Underwear as Retaliation

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Four female middle school students of the same age were arrested by the police for tying up and assaulting a foreign national teenage female middle school student while she was in her underwear.

On the 1st, the Yangsan Police Station in Gyeongnam announced that they had sent four middle school students who assaulted A (14), a first-year middle school student of foreign nationality, to the prosecution. Two of them were sent to the juvenile division as juvenile offenders, and the other two were handed over to the prosecution on charges of assault.

According to the police, they are suspected of tying up A and assaulting her while she was in her underwear last July.

A had run away from home due to family conflicts and stayed at the house of B, one of the perpetrator students she met. Later, a relative who was looking for A, who had run away, hit B, and B and the other three accomplices reportedly assaulted A in retaliation.

The perpetrators were found to have insulted A’s nationality while beating her.

Both the perpetrators and the victim were intoxicated, and the group assault continued for six hours from midnight to dawn.

The police are investigating the details of A’s victimization and are also looking into the incident where A’s relative caused injury to another student.
