'December Gimhae City Proud CEO' Selected as JSD CEO Kim Ki-su

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] On the 1st, Gimhae City, Gyeongnam awarded the 'December Gimhae City Proud CEO Award' to CEO Kim Ki-su of JSD.

JSD, located in Bugok-dong, is a manufacturer of vehicle seat components with about 70 employees currently working since its establishment in 2012.

CEO Kim started in manufacturing with Jiseong Precision, a mold manufacturing specialist company founded in 1999, and based on the know-how accumulated, established JSD in 2012 to produce automobile seat frames.

Under the management philosophy of "Providing trust to customers through technology and being certified by quality," the company obtained automobile quality management system certification and a press processing patent in 2014.

The following year, a technology research institute with dedicated research personnel was established, and it has been devoted to technology development to perfect quality until now.

Recently, as the global eco-friendly electric vehicle market expands, JSD installed an electric vehicle battery cover assembly process from early this year to respond to the rapidly changing industrial environment.

As a result, it contributed to revitalizing the local economy by increasing sales by about 20% compared to the previous year and employing more than 20 new personnel.

CEO Kim said, "Although sales plummeted due to COVID-19, I am truly pleased to receive the Proud CEO Award this time thanks to continuous technological development achievements," and added, "I will do my best to grow into a leading local company."

Mayor Heo Seong-gon said, "The city will also do its best to provide administrative support so that small and medium-sized enterprises with excellent technology can further develop for sustainable urban development in the future."
