[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Isul] Director and actor Yoo Tae-oh has been selected as the Man of the Year by the men's magazine GQ Korea.
GQ Korea chose actor Yoo Tae-oh as the protagonist of the '2021 Men of the Year' and released a pictorial and interview.
This pictorial, completed with a dreamy yet mysterious mood, was conducted with the concept of highlighting 'the world of actor Yoo Tae-oh' by projecting various objects onto Yoo Tae-oh through a beam projector featuring messages written by Yoo Tae-oh himself, light, and graphics.
Yoo Tae-oh showcased his unique charm by pulling off all prepared styles, including urban and sophisticated suits, wide pants, long coats, and red shirts.
In the interview, Yoo Tae-oh said, "People who watched the movie 'Log in Belgium' first said it was 'fun,' 'typical Yoo Tae-oh,' and 'creative.' For me, a movie must be fun first. I tend not to endure it if it's not entertaining."
He continued, "I think the process of artists constantly worrying, expressing, and creating is like homework. I believe I have grown through those times."
Yoo Tae-oh took charge of planning, filming, acting, directing, producing, editing, and music for 'Log in Belgium,' which was released on the 1st. The work, shot 100% on a smartphone during self-quarantine in Belgium, where he visited for filming, has attracted attention. It was first unveiled at the 13th DMZ International Documentary Film Festival Open Cinema and was also selected as a Festival Choice at the 47th Seoul Independent Film Festival.
