According to Gwangju Metropolitan City as of 2 p.m. on the 1st, 30 people tested positive for COVID-19 in Gwangju, classified as cases 6315 to 6344.

There is 1 person related to a bathhouse (A) in Buk-gu, 13 people related to a leisure gathering in Dong-gu, 6 people related to confirmed cases from other cities and provinces, 4 people related to previously confirmed patients, and 6 people under investigation with symptoms.

The confirmed cases related to the bathhouse in Buk-gu increased by 1 person on this day after the first confirmed case on the 17th of last month, bringing the total to 17.

The 13 people confirmed positive today related to the leisure gathering in Dong-gu are members of the Dong-gu choir operated by Dong-gu.

Previously, one choir member was confirmed positive as a worker at a medical hospital located in Seo-gu, and in a subsequent full investigation of 33 choir members, 14 additional members tested positive.

So far, the total number of confirmed cases related to the choir is 15, and the exact infection route for these individuals is under investigation.

Other confirmed cases are classified as having been infected through overlapping movement paths with confirmed cases from other cities and provinces or through contact with family members, acquaintances, or other previously confirmed patients.

Additionally, one person confirmed positive through symptomatic testing was identified as a student at a middle school in Seo-gu, and an on-site risk assessment has been underway since the afternoon of this day.
