Gyeongnam Provincial Police Agency and NH Nonghyup Gyeongnam Headquarters Sign Agreement to Prevent 'Telecommunication Financial Fraud' and Support Victims On the 1st, the Gyeongnam Provincial Police Agency and NH Nonghyup Bank Gyeongnam Headquarters signed a business agreement on 'Prevention of Telecommunication Financial Fraud and Support for Crime Victims.'

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] On the 1st, the Gyeongnam Provincial Police Agency signed a 'Business Agreement for the Prevention of Telecommunication Financial Fraud and Support for Crime Victims' with NH Nonghyup Bank Gyeongnam Headquarters.


This agreement was established to build an active cooperation system between the two organizations, including sharing the latest methods of telecommunication financial fraud, prevention, victim support, case detection, and joint promotional activities.


Along with this, Nonghyup entrusted 10 million KRW in cybercrime victim support funds to the Korean Red Cross Gyeongnam Branch.


Lee Moon-soo, Chief of the Gyeongnam Provincial Police Agency, said, "Collaboration with Nonghyup, which is closely connected to the daily lives of the elderly living in rural farming and fishing villages who are vulnerable to telecommunication financial fraud, is expected to greatly help in the practical prevention of crime damage," and added, "We will do our best to strengthen cooperation with related organizations to make Gyeongnam safe from various incidents, accidents, and crimes."


Meanwhile, the Gyeongnam Provincial Police Agency conducts year-round continuous crackdowns on telecommunication financial fraud, and especially for large-scale and multiple victim cases, the provincial police agency's dedicated team receives the cases and conducts focused investigations.
