Gathering Over 450 Petrochemical Products into an Integrated Digital Sales Platform
First Phase Opened for Existing ABS Products... Over 12,000 Customers in 6 Months
From Expert Information Search to Delivery Tracking, Unified Through DX (Digital Transformation)
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] All petrochemical products of LG Chem will be available for purchase online.
LG Chem announced on the 1st that it will expand the digital sales platform 'LG Chem On' to cover all petrochemical product lines. LG Chem On is an integrated sales platform that allows users to easily browse petrochemical products as if searching in an online shopping mall, enabling untact technical collaboration and real-time order status tracking.
LG Chem On initially opened its technical collaboration feature in June for customers of high-value-added synthetic resin (ABS). From December, the platform expanded its scope to include all 450 petrochemical products of LG Chem, including recycled plastics (PCR) and biodegradable materials. In addition to technical collaboration, new features such as real-time delivery and order inquiry and C&C (Claim & Complaint) functions were added.
With this product line expansion, customers are expected to find it easier to explore products and have improved accessibility to technical collaboration through LG Chem On. Among the approximately 12,000 customers who visited the site over the past six months, 2,780 downloaded detailed product specifications. The click rate on the project request button was 12.2% of all visitors, which is higher than the typical website goal conversion rate (6?11%) in the general B2B market.
Since the platform supports English and Chinese, convenience for global customers is also expected to increase. Forty percent of all LG Chem On visitors are customers from outside Korea, with the highest visit rates from China (7%) and the United States (6%). India (4%) and Japan (2%) followed, and customers from South America, Europe, and other Asian regions also visited LG Chem On.
LG Chem is preparing to proactively reflect customer feedback by adding order functions, refining search segmentation, and expanding language support.
