Seoul City School Enrollment Notification Submission Service, Check 'Online' and Submit to School

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 1st that starting from 10 a.m. on the 3rd, it will implement the 'Online Submission Service for School Enrollment Notification' for children entering elementary school in the 2022 academic year.

The online submission service for school enrollment notifications provided by Seoul allows guardians to view the enrollment notification for children scheduled to enter school online and submit it directly to the respective elementary school without the need for separate printing or submission afterward. This service is available to household heads, parents, grandparents, and other guardians of children residing in Seoul who are about to enroll.

The service can be accessed through the main banner on the Seoul city website or the Seoul online civil service portal until December. Users must verify their identity using a joint certificate before using the service. Guardians who do not use the online submission service will receive the enrollment notification by mail or other means through the local community service center staff or neighborhood leaders between the 14th and 20th and can submit it during the preliminary gathering at the elementary school they will attend.

Starting this year, the government24 platform has also begun offering the online 'issuance' service for school enrollment notifications nationwide, operating from the 3rd to the 12th, coinciding with the Seoul online civil service submission period.

Kang Seok, Director of the Seoul Metropolitan Government's Autonomous Administration Division, stated, “The Seoul online submission service for school enrollment notifications is a convenient and safe service that minimizes person-to-person contact and allows verification and submission of enrollment notifications without separate printed materials.” He added, “We hope many parents in Seoul with children about to enter elementary school will use and take interest in this service.”
