Suwon Seongyeong Industrial Center Opens for One Day Suwon Seonkyung Industrial Complex Exterior View

[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The 'Suwon Seon-gyeong Industrial Hall,' where you can get an overview of the modern and contemporary industrial development history of Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, has opened.

Suwon City announced on the 1st that it opened the exhibition and cultural space 'Suwon Seon-gyeong Industrial Hall' at the site of the old Seon-gyeong Textile Factory in Pyeong-dong, Gwonseon-gu, where visitors can see the modern and contemporary industrial development history of Suwon.

The Suwon Seon-gyeong Industrial Hall was created by renovating the management building and main building, which were formerly used as the Seon-gyeong Textile offices, into an exhibition hall.

The main building is a two-story structure with a total floor area of 122.45㎡, housing ▲ the modern and contemporary industrial history of Suwon (1st floor) ▲ exhibits showcasing the development history of SK Group, which started from Seon-gyeong Textile ▲ and the Seon-gyeong Textile executive office.

The management building is a single-story structure with a total floor area of 71.07㎡, where visitors can see exhibits related to Seon-gyeong Textile, including textile machines used in the old Seon-gyeong Textile factory.

Suwon City, SK Networks, and SK Construction signed the 'Old Seon-gyeong Textile Reproduction Building Reconstruction Agreement' in July last year and have been promoting the establishment of the Suwon Seon-gyeong Industrial Hall.

Meanwhile, SK Group traces its origins to Seon-gyeong Textile (currently SK Networks), founded in 1953 in Pyeong-dong, Suwon, by the late Chairman Choi Jong-geon, the group's founder.
