Sancheong-gun, Assistant Officer Jomansun Receives Korea Public Welfare Award

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Jo Man-seon, a public officer working as the head of Sindung-myeon in Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam, received the 'Korea Public Welfare Award.'

According to Sancheong-gun on the 30th, Jo Man-seon recently received a commendation in the field of public welfare expertise development at the '4th Korea Public Welfare Awards Ceremony' held at the Garden Hotel in Seoul.

The Korea Social Welfare Mutual Aid Association, sponsored by Seoul Bang Hospital, jointly with the Korea Social Welfare Administration Research Association, selects and awards outstanding social welfare public officials annually from among approximately 30,000 nationwide.

At this year's 4th ceremony, nine recipients were selected for their efforts in various areas such as expertise development, welfare administration, and public-private cooperation to advance social welfare administration in Korea.

Jo Man-seon is recognized as the key figure who led Sancheong-gun to be selected for three consecutive years in the Ministry of Health and Welfare's 'Social Economy Promotion Support Project in the Social Service Sector.'

He practiced sharing by donating winter blankets (worth approximately 1.7 million KRW) to 31 senior centers in Sindung-myeon using the prize money from the 'Korea Public Welfare Award.'

Jo said, "I am grateful to my seniors, juniors, colleagues, as well as local residents and organizations who have supported me to work diligently," and pledged, "I will continue to work hard to improve the welfare of local residents."

Meanwhile, through this public project, Sancheong-gun was the first in the nation to promote projects such as the Iso Partner Project, a 'Support Project for Improving Sociality of Single-Person Households,' and was selected as the 'Best Institution' in 2019 and 'Excellent Institution' in 2020.
