Gwangju Nambu Fire Station Operates Advanced CPR Course for General Public


[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Gwangju Nambu Fire Station (Chief Lee Jeong-ja) announced on the 30th that it will operate the Korean CPR Association’s ‘Advanced CPR Course for the General Public’ at the Nam-gu 119 Safety Education Center located in Bongseon-dong, Nam-gu, to improve the rate of citizens performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation.


The ‘Advanced CPR Course for the General Public’ operated at the Nam-gu 119 Safety Education Center covers adult and pediatric CPR, the use of automated external defibrillators, and emergency situations such as airway obstruction caused by foreign objects.


Registration for the course is free and open to anyone aged 10 and above through the Korean CPR Association’s website. The ‘Advanced CPR Course for the General Public’ is conducted over 180 minutes, focusing on customized practical training. Additionally, upon completion of the advanced course, participants can receive a certificate issued by the Korean CPR Association.


An official stated, “We will do our best to expand the education program so that anyone can participate and ensure that CPR training saves the precious lives of family and neighbors.”
