[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] Kiturami Co., Ltd. announced on the 30th that it was selected as an excellent company in the heated mat category in the '2021 Korea Consumer Protection Index for Home Appliances (KCPI)' announced by the Korea Management Association Consulting.

The Korea Consumer Protection Index for Home Appliances (KCPI) is an index that indicates the degree of consumer perception of consumer protection quality for each company. Companies that achieve above the average score in each industry category are awarded an excellent grade, and 'KCPI Excellent Companies' are selected and announced by dividing into finance, telecommunications, automobile, and home appliances.

This year, out of 111 companies in 21 industry groups, a total of 38 companies were selected as KCPI Excellent Companies, and Kiturami was the only company to receive an excellent grade in the heated mat category.

Kiturami recorded the highest score in both the consumer protection perception area (70%) and the consumer protection practice area (30%) in the heated mat category, and was honored to be selected as an excellent company in the 2021 Korea Consumer Protection Index for Home Appliances with a total score of 76.9 points.

Following the launch of the carbon mat, a new concept heating mat, for the first time in the boiler industry last year, Kiturami accelerated the generational change in the domestic heated mat market by newly launching the 2022 3rd generation carbon mat ondol with enhanced carbon heating wires and convenience features in September.

Kiturami also innovated after-sales service by establishing a smartphone-based mobile after-sales management system to drastically shorten service procedures, implementing customer reassurance text services, and the Happy Call system.

For the first time in the boiler industry, it introduced a chatbot-based KakaoTalk AS reception service, improving the system so that customers can consult and apply for services more quickly.

A Kiturami official said, "We sincerely thank the consumers who selected us as an excellent company in the Korea Consumer Protection Index for Home Appliances," and added, "We will continue to contribute to raising the level of consumer rights protection in our country."
