[Namwon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Jeong Young-gwon] The Jeonbuk Namwon City Volunteer Center will hold a "Volunteer Activity Photo Exhibition" commemorating the "16th Volunteer Day" from the 29th to the 3rd of next month in the lobby on the first floor of Namwon City Hall, in celebration of Volunteer Day on the 5th of next month.
According to the city on the 29th, this photo exhibition was planned to convey encouragement and gratitude to volunteers who quietly practiced sharing in unseen places.
It will also exhibit major volunteer activities throughout 2021, including the integrated volunteer support group activities at the COVID-19 vaccination center and sharing volunteer work for the underprivileged.
The "16th Volunteer Day Commemoration Ceremony," held at the Namwon Culture and Arts Support Center on the 3rd of next month, will be held with a minimal number of participants considering the COVID-19 situation.
Awards will also be presented to volunteers who have worked hard on the volunteer front.
Mayor Lee Hwan-joo said, "The reason the city is overcoming the COVID-19 situation well is thanks to the cooperation of citizens and the dedicated efforts of 20,000 volunteers working on the ground."
He added, "I hope that next year, when COVID-19 ends, we can express our gratitude twice as much through the Volunteer Day commemoration ceremony."
