10th Generation 1 New Unit and 16th Generation Replacement... Residents' 'Life Protection and Golden Time Securing' Efforts

Jeonnam Fire announced on the 28th that it will newly deploy 10 ambulances and replace 16 ambulances.
This time, five ambulance teams will be additionally deployed in rural fishing and farming areas such as Mokpo Ha-ui, Yeosu Nam-myeon, Suncheon Songgwang, Haenam Jodo, and Wando Cheongsan, and five more ambulances will be deployed by the end of this year to establish a more dense 119 ambulance service network.
The areas where ambulance teams are additionally deployed are regions where the 119 safety center used to dispatch from a long distance when ambulance situations occurred.
With this measure, faster ambulance dispatch will be possible, and the quality of ambulance services, including the survival rate of cardiac arrest patients, is expected to improve significantly.
Jeonnam Fire has been operating ambulance teams considering the regional conditions with many islands and mountainous areas and population density, and has been striving to secure the "golden time" in rural fishing and farming areas where medical services are weak.
When the additional deployment of ambulance teams is completed by the end of the year, Jeonnam Fire will operate 120 ambulance teams.
Chief Ma Jaeyoon said, "In 2022, 10 more ambulance teams are scheduled to be additionally deployed," and added, "We will do our best to provide the best fire services to the residents."
