Dong-Eui University Sweeps Awards at Busan Youth Volunteer Competition... Department of Lifelong Education and Youth Counseling Named 'Volunteer Champions' The winners of the 2021 Youth Volunteer Service Awards are taking a commemorative photo.


[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Students from Dong-Eui University are attracting attention by sweeping major awards at the Busan Youth Volunteer Competition.


Students from the Department of Lifelong Education and Youth Counseling at the university received the Minister’s Award, Superintendent’s Award, and City Council Chairman’s Award at the “2021 Busan City Youth Volunteer Competition Awards Ceremony” held on November 20th at the 10th-floor small auditorium of the Busan Ilbo building.


At this event hosted by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family and Busan City, and organized by the Busan Youth Activity Promotion Center, the department clubs “I to I” and “Atti” received the Minister of Gender Equality and Family Award and the Busan City Superintendent of Education Award, respectively. Additionally, first-year student Shin Sol-saem received the Busan City Council Chairman’s Award in the youth category.


I to I (President: 3rd-year student Kim Su-hyun, Vice President: 2nd-year student Go Ah-young, Advisor: Professor Lee Jeong-hee) has been conducting youth counseling study sessions once a week.


They also participate in various volunteer activities to protect youth mental health, such as the Yeonje District Mental Health Welfare Center’s “Together 2win-win Partnership Project” and Suyeong District Youth Culture House’s “Eoullim Madang,” strengthening their skills as prospective youth counselors.


Atti (President: 3rd-year student Yoon Seo-young, Vice President: 2nd-year student Kim Ji-won, Advisor: Professor Seo Hee-jung) supported healthy lifestyles for local youth through planning, developing, and operating youth activity programs.


Shin Sol-saem, who serves as the Chairperson of the Haeundae District Youth Participation Committee, consistently participates in various youth-led activities such as the Suyeong District Youth Eoullim Madang planning team.


Professor Lee Jeong-hee, head of the Department of Lifelong Education and Youth Counseling at Dong-Eui University, said, “I hope the students’ efforts and consistent activity achievements become opportunities to take one step closer to their dreams, and that voluntary talent sharing contributes to healthy growth.”
