"Full-fledged Ski Season" Vivaldi Park Ski Resort Opens on the 27th

"Full-fledged Ski Season" Vivaldi Park Ski Resort Opens on the 27th Vivaldi Park Ski Resort.

[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Sono International announced on the 26th that Vivaldi Park Ski Resort will open on the 27th to welcome the full winter season.

Vivaldi Park Ski Resort is located in Hongcheon, Gangwon Province, where visitors can enjoy winter sports such as skiing and snowboarding. The resort operates 12 slopes (total length 6,784m) categorized by difficulty and riding style. The ski resort stated, "To ensure optimal snow quality, we use 167 snow machines to produce up to 24,000 tons of snow daily."

During the 2021-2022 season, Vivaldi Park Ski Resort improved its on-site operations focusing on customer convenience and safety by enhancing seasonal and monthly usage options and contactless services. Season pass types include full-day lift tickets, full-day tickets (lift and rental) that allow one ski or snowboard equipment rental per day during the season, and winter pass tickets that add Snowy Land usage benefits to the full-day ticket.

The winter pass ticket, launched for the first time this year, allows one daily use of Snowy Land in addition to the full-day ticket, attracting interest from family customers looking to enjoy winter activities, according to the company. The time pass ticket, available in 2, 4, 6, and 8-hour options, has also established itself as a steady seller, allowing use at any desired time regardless of operating hours.

For safe facility use, kiosks for issuing and returning lift tickets are also operated. As part of contactless services, these kiosks help prevent large crowds from gathering in specific locations and reduce waiting times during facility use, making them useful. Vivaldi Park also plans to deploy on-site staff to guide customers waiting to board the lifts to maintain safe distances.

Meanwhile, on the 19th, Vivaldi Park conducted a joint public-private ski resort lift rescue training in preparation for emergencies during lift use, attended by over 30 people including members of the Hongcheon Fire Station.

Vivaldi Park operates a free shuttle bus from opening day until closing day. Reservations can be made through the Vivaldi Park website and application (app) by 4:30 PM the day before departure. Since shuttle bus routes and departure times vary between weekdays and weekends, prior confirmation is necessary.
