[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] Hanwha Investment & Securities won the Excellence Award in the Blog and Cafe category at the '2021 Korea Communication Awards.'

Hanwha Investment & Securities announced this achievement on the 26th. The 2021 Korea Communication Awards is an event hosted by the Korea Association of Communication Professionals and supported by domestic and international government agencies and organizations such as the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Employment and Labor, and the New York Festivals.

The award was given in recognition of Hanwha Investment & Securities' official blog, 'Life Portfolio,' actively providing ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) content. In particular, the series "If You Are New to Stocks, ESG Investment" analyzed various information such as major domestic and international ESG-related indices and exchange-traded funds (ETFs), offering valuable information to investors, which received high praise.

Meanwhile, Hanwha Investment & Securities is also actively engaged in ESG management. In January, together with Hanwha financial affiliates, it declared a 'coal phase-out finance' policy, refraining from participating in project financing for domestic and international coal power projects, while continuously increasing investments in eco-friendly assets such as solar and wind power. In July, it also established an ESG Committee to formulate the company's ESG strategies and policies and oversee their implementation.
