[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] President Moon Jae-in met with the father of the late Air Force Sergeant Lee Ye-ram, who tragically took her own life after alleging secondary sexual harassment, and said, "I will carefully consider (the request for a special investigation)."

On the morning of the 25th, around 10:30 a.m., President Moon was entering Myeongdong Cathedral in Jung-gu, Seoul, to attend the 20th anniversary ceremony of the establishment of the National Human Rights Commission when he met Sergeant Lee's father, who was holding a solo protest.

Sergeant Lee's father delivered a letter to President Moon demanding a special investigation by the Ministry of National Defense, emphasizing the necessity of such an investigation. President Moon responded, "I have been briefed on this matter and am well aware of it. I will carefully consider it."

To meet with President Moon, Sergeant Lee's father had been holding a solo protest in front of the ceremony venue since 9 a.m. that day.
