Bearing Asset Management Holds Mentoring Program for University Students with Investment Education Association

[Asia Economy Reporter Minji Lee] Global asset management firm Barings Asset Management announced on the 24th that it will hold an online special lecture titled "See the Possibilities (#BaringsStP)" for university students nationwide over two days until the 25th, in collaboration with the National Investor Education Council (NIC).

BaringsStP is a mentoring program where investment experts from Barings Asset Management participate as presenters to share investment experiences and market insights with university students around the world. Barings Asset Management has operated the BaringsStP program in several countries including the UK and China for the past 15 years, and this year is the first time it is being implemented in Korea.

This university special lecture, jointly hosted by Barings Asset Management and NIC, will combine Barings Asset Management's global investment expertise with NIC's investor education know-how to cover topics that are practically helpful for students aspiring to careers in asset management firms.

The first mentoring session will feature lectures by Baek In-su, CEO of Barings Asset Management, and Kim Ji-young, Head of the Dividend Department in the Equity Management Division, on the topics of △Understanding global asset management firms and △Career coaching for global asset management firms. The second session will cover △Global market analysis and structural trends and △Investment strategies of Barings Asset Management’s equity team and ESG investing, with insights shared by CEO Park Jong-hak and Head Kim Ji-young.

This special lecture will provide participation links only to university students who pre-registered through the University Investment Club Federation (UIC), a coalition of investment and economics-related university clubs, and will be conducted online via YouTube Live in a non-face-to-face format.
