[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Changwon City in Gyeongnam announced on the 23rd that it has opened the Innovation Data Center MDCG at Taerim Industry in Seongsan-gu.
The Innovation Data Center is a core project of the Smart Green Industrial Complex leading project, which collects, processes, and analyzes manufacturing data of companies within the smart industrial complex based on the cloud to develop advanced smart factory services and create a data ecosystem.
The newly established data center communication space (MDCG, Manufacturing Data Community Ground) is a space that helps visualize and experience the data flow of smart factories currently in operation.
Through this, users can check the services provided by the Innovation Data Center, receive consulting, and also participate in education and training.
MDCG is expected to lead manufacturing innovation within the industrial complex by supporting the growth of companies specializing in data collection, analysis, and utilization, and to help alleviate the manpower shortage of local companies by training professionals who can work in data-based new industries.
Additionally, through MDCG tours, benchmarking by companies interested in data utilization such as smart factories is expected to become easier.
Mayor Heo Seong-mu said, "Through MDCG, a digital innovation support space, the smartification of companies and the industrial complex will accelerate further," adding, "I hope MDCG will become a driving force for the co-growth of local manufacturing companies and ICT companies."
