The Korea Meteorological Administration forecasted that snow or rain will continue until the morning (6 to 9 AM) of the 24th in the southwestern Gyeonggi region, Chungcheong, Jeonbuk, and the western inland areas of Gyeongsang.
Except for southwestern Gyeonggi, sporadic snow is expected to fall until the same time in the rest of the Seoul metropolitan area and the inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon.
In the northern Jeonnam region and Jeju, snow or rain is expected only until the night of the 23rd.
Snowfall accumulated over the two days of the 23rd and 24th will be around 1 cm in southwestern Gyeonggi, Chungcheong, and the western inland areas of Gyeongsang, while snowfall in the rest of the Seoul metropolitan area and the inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon will be less than 0.1 cm.
The cold will also continue until morning.
Morning temperatures in northern Gyeonggi and the inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon will drop below minus 5 degrees Celsius, and in other central regions and North Gyeongsang, morning temperatures will hover around 0 degrees Celsius.
With strong winds blowing, it will feel colder than the actual temperature.
Daytime temperatures will rise slightly to between 6 and 15 degrees Celsius, compared to 1.5 to 10.3 degrees on the 23rd.
The cold will briefly ease between the afternoon of the 24th and the 25th, but it will become cold again from the morning of the 26th through the 28th.
Expected minimum and maximum temperatures in major cities are: Seoul -3°C and 8°C, Incheon -1°C and 8°C, Daejeon 1°C and 12°C, Gwangju 5°C and 13°C, Daegu 2°C and 13°C, Ulsan 3°C and 13°C, and Busan 6°C and 15°C.
Due to strong winds strong enough to trigger wind and high seas warnings in various areas, fine dust levels nationwide will be at 'Good' or 'Moderate' levels.
