Hapcheon-gun Conducts Hwarang Training to Prepare for Rear Area Local Provocations and Full-Scale War

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 23rd that the Hwarang training will be conducted until the 24th to confirm the integrated defense posture of civilians, government, military, and police.

The Hwarang training is conducted every two years to prepare for rear area local provocations and full-scale war.

The main training contents include anti-infiltration training, a fire outbreak at Hapcheon Terminal (actual training), and response training for strikes on Hapcheon Dam. The military will hold the Hapcheon-gun Integrated Defense Council at 4 p.m. on the 22nd to support this Hwarang training.

In addition, an Integrated Defense Support Headquarters will be operated at the Disaster Comprehensive Situation Room on the 3rd floor of the CCTV Control Center, staffed with 48 personnel.

Shin Kwon-jun, Director of Safety General Affairs, said, “Emergencies can occur at any time, so this training to establish a regional integrated defense system is very important,” and added, “There may be troop and vehicle movements due to the training, so we ask residents to remain calm and cooperate greatly with the training.”
