Imsil-gun Hosts 'Youth Policy Talk Concert'

[Imsil=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Nosik] Jeonbuk Imsil-gun (Governor Sim Min) announced on the 23rd that from the 18th to the 20th, a ‘Youth Policy Talk Concert’ was held at the Youth Culture House.

The event was a youth participation activation project aimed at providing opportunities for participation activities related to youth culture, with over 200 youths, parents, and leaders participating.

Under the theme "Go! Go! Go! Toward Our Dreams! Our Story!! We Make It Ourselves!!", this project was organized as a communication space to understand the stories of the county’s youth, parents, and leaders, adapting to the With-Corona era by not shrinking back but thoroughly observing quarantine measures.

On the first day, an advanced site visit was conducted with youth from the participation committee and the operating committee benchmarking the operation of training facilities and activities of participation organizations in other regions.

On the second day, a youth policy debate was held, providing a communication platform where youths, parents, and leaders discussed the stories of youths in the Imsil area.

On the third day, a talk concert was held, giving youths direct participation time.

Additionally, club activities planned and operated directly by youths, a social gathering, and job experience activities with experts were conducted, providing a cultural and play space for youths who had been frustrated by COVID-19.

Student Park Choeun, who participated in the policy debate and talk concert, said, “Visiting training facilities in other regions was a valuable time to learn more about the operation of youth participation organizations,” and added, “It was a meaningful time to reflect our stories in youth policies, which makes me happy.”

Governor Sim Min said, “We will continue to attempt various approaches to youth policies,” and added, “We will actively support providing youths with opportunities for voluntary and autonomous participation activities to develop their potential capabilities and social skills so that they can grow into healthy members of society.”

The Imsil-gun Youth Culture House is a youth-only space, operating from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends. Youths who wish to participate in programs can inquire at the Youth Culture House.
