Seonjajang and Nakjukjang Lectures, Gugak Performances, Nuruk Brewing, and Wanpanbon Printing Demonstrations Conducted
[Jeonju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] Jeonju City announced on the 23rd that it will hold the '2021 Jeonju Hanok Village Seasonal Festival' on the 26th and 27th at the Jeonju Fan Culture Center and the Wampanbon Culture Center yard.
This seasonal festival will be operated with a variety of attractions and activities such as traditional cultural performances, exhibitions, lectures, experiences, and traditional games, with the participation of the Jeonju Fan Culture Center, Choi Myung-hee Literature Museum, Wampanbon Culture Center, Jeonju Traditional Liquor Museum, residents of the Hanok Village area, and local artists.
Specifically, the program includes △reading performances (Choi Myung-hee Literature Museum) △lectures on fan making and bamboo craft (Jeonju Fan Culture Center) △Korean traditional music performances (Wampanbon Culture Center) △nuruk brewing (Jeonju Traditional Liquor Museum) △Wampanbon woodblock printing demonstration △kite flying experience, among others.
Jeonju City plans to make this event a Hanok Village community festival promoted in solidarity not only by local residents but also by local artists, creating a place of harmony that strengthens the bonds of the communities.
