Daedong launches three HX tractors with up to 127 horsepower... 'Enhanced Convenience'

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] Agricultural machinery company Daedong announced on the 23rd that it will launch a new lineup of 100 to 127 horsepower HX models in its large flagship tractor HX series.

Earlier this year, Daedong introduced the HX1300 (132 horsepower) and HX1400 (142 horsepower), high-tech premium models featuring Korea’s first domestically developed 3.8L engine, straight-line autonomous driving function, Connect service, and luxury services.

Daedong explained that these two products received great responses from livestock and large-scale paddy farmers who mainly use tractors over 100 horsepower, and to strengthen its dominance in the 100 to 120 horsepower range, it decided to launch three models: HX900 (100 horsepower), HX1000 (111 horsepower), and HX1200 (127 horsepower).

The new models boast strong power and operational convenience comparable to the previously released HX. They are equipped with a 3.8L diesel engine capable of up to 142 horsepower and a ‘Power Boost’ function that can add up to 10 additional horsepower.

Additionally, with a weight of 5.3 tons (with weights attached) and a wheelbase of 2.4 meters, they offer superior stability and traction compared to competing models in the same class, making them suitable for high-load tasks using heavy equipment such as bailers and trailers. Operational convenience is also a strength. The ‘Power Shift’ function allows shifting up to 8 speeds via button or accelerator operation without clutch manipulation. This enables quick gear changes according to work or travel conditions and reduces operator fatigue.

Furthermore, various automatic control functions make work easy and convenient. Notable features include ‘RPM Memory,’ which allows one-touch selection of stored RPM values; ‘Smart Cruise,’ which automatically adjusts the implement’s lift and lower RPM based on driving conditions; and ‘Ultra-Precision Level Control,’ which automatically levels the implement when the tractor tilts more than 0.8°.

Wide work visibility and excellent nighttime visibility are also key features. To ensure a broad forward view, the tractor is equipped with a 5-pane cabin (five glass windows) that facilitates ventilation and door opening, an arch-shaped front window, and a transparent sunroof that makes it easy to check the front status during loader operations, maximizing the operator’s field of view.
