Construction - The Dream Smart Center Facilitates Collaboration Among Venture Companies, Serving as a Platform
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority (President Cha Min-sik) announced on the 23rd that it has signed a business agreement to form the ‘Port Logistics Venture Companies Council’ with seven venture companies using the port innovation venture startup platform ‘The Dream Smart Center’ operated by the authority (I-Works Co., Ltd., Seedronics Co., Ltd., Woori IO Co., Ltd., Human IT World, Rain Eye Co., Ltd., DIO System Co., Ltd., Korean Tutor).
Opened by the authority in 2019 to provide facilities for the demonstration of new technology products related to port logistics and to support the commercialization of promising venture companies, The Dream Smart Center currently hosts seven companies as of 2021, thanks to the authority’s active efforts and support in attracting new ventures.
This agreement was promoted to serve as a platform for smooth collaboration networks with user companies developing innovative technologies in various fields and to support commercialization.
According to the agreement, the authority will support port facilities and administrative matters for new technology demonstrations, while the seven venture companies will establish a mutual cooperation system among ventures to advance their businesses, conduct joint research with the authority’s research organizations and innovation clubs, and share business operation results.
Additionally, on the same day, the authority supported two more business agreements to establish governance among venture companies.
These include a business agreement to build a business advancement consortium between three venture companies of the Port Logistics Venture Companies Council (I-Works Co., Ltd., Seedronics Co., Ltd., Woori IO Co., Ltd.) and Argo Marine Total Co., Ltd., and another agreement involving the Port Logistics Big Data Center, I-Works Co., Ltd., and City Labs Co., Ltd., laying the foundation for logistics big data research and development.
Choi Yeon-cheol, Executive Vice President, said, “This agreement will accelerate support for the business advancement of venture companies developing port innovation technologies. Through collaboration with venture companies, we will lead ESG management, build eco-friendly and safe ports, and further pioneer innovative job creation.”
