Dongdaemun Wholesale Apparel Platform Linkshops Launches B2B Subscription Service

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Linkshops, a wholesale clothing brokerage platform operated by co-CEOs Seo Kyung-mi and Oh Young-ji, announced on the 23rd that it will launch a monthly subscription membership service called 'Coupling Pass.'

The newly introduced Coupling Pass is a membership service that offers unlimited free shipping and usage fees for all shipping costs and services related to delivery, inspection, pre-ordering (reservation of prepaid products), and product exchanges, which are essential when purchasing clothing from Dongdaemun, under a monthly subscription model. Orders placed by 11 PM can be delivered the next day.

To prepare this subscription model, Linkshops conducted a pilot operation of the Coupling Pass for about two months with select customers to enhance the service's completeness. After successfully establishing itself in the domestic market, the company plans to expand the service to overseas customers following a verification period.

In particular, during the pilot service period, Linkshops explained that a survey showed overall customer satisfaction reached 98%, citing ▲cost savings from free shipping and free inspection ▲shortened product ordering periods due to reduced misdeliveries ▲reduced inventory management burdens. In fact, out of 21,000 orders, 20,000 were repeat purchases, with 86% of customers using the Coupling Pass service at least once a week.

Oh Young-ji, CEO of Linkshops, said, "Coupling Pass is a service that not only provides immediate cost reduction effects for retail businesses but also contributes to stabilizing business operations in the long term through real-time inventory management." She added, "Based on our domestic membership operation experience, we will expand the service to overseas buyers interested in K-fashion and contribute to the globalization of Dongdaemun."

Linkshops has moved the Dongdaemun wholesale market, which was offline-centered, online, opening online sales channels for wholesalers and providing services such as purchasing, delivery agency, payment, and tax invoice processing for retailers through apps and the web. Currently, about 13,000 Dongdaemun wholesalers handling clothing, accessories, and shoes are registered, recording over 100,000 orders per month.
