[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jun-yi] Former People Power Party Emergency Response Committee Chairman Kim Jong-in announced on the 23rd that he will not join the People Power Party's election campaign committee.
On the same day, Kim met with reporters in front of his office near Gwanghwamun, Seoul, saying, "I no longer want to talk about political matters," and "From today, I will return to my daily life." When asked if it could be understood that he would not join the campaign committee, he said, "I have spoken several times about how I view the presidential election under certain circumstances," adding, "If you carefully consider that, you will understand why I made this decision."
It is known that Kim had disagreements with the campaign committee composition plan prepared by People Power Party presidential candidate Yoon Seok-yeol. On the same day, Yoon, attending a media event in the morning, showed discomfort when reporters asked about Kim, saying, "Please do not ask me about what that person says."
