[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] SK Innovation Ulsan Complex (Ulsan CLX) is contributing to strengthening the social safety net by delivering happiness lunchboxes to 200 children at risk of food insecurity in blind spots within the Ulsan area during the winter vacation period.

SK Innovation announced on the 23rd that Ulsan CLX, together with Ulsan City and Ulsan Port Authority, held the 'Happiness Lunchbox Delivery Ceremony for Children at Risk of Food Insecurity in the Ulsan Area.'

The 'Happiness Lunchbox Support Project for Children at Risk of Food Insecurity in the Ulsan Area' is a project that supports happiness lunchboxes to children at risk of food insecurity in blind spots within the Ulsan area, based on public-private cooperation among Happiness Alliance member companies, local governments, and local communities to practically solve the problem of children at risk of food insecurity.

In this Ulsan happiness lunchbox support project, during the winter vacation period, approximately 13,200 meals will be provided weekly with 5 meals per week to 200 children in the Ulsan area who are at high risk of food insecurity.

The donation of 20 million KRW from Ulsan Port Authority and 60 million KRW donated by SK Innovation through the Community Chest of Korea, totaling 80 million KRW, will be used to support happiness lunchboxes for children at risk of food insecurity. Last year, Ulsan Port Authority and SK Innovation also donated about 70 million KRW for children at risk of food insecurity in Ulsan, where their workplaces are located.

This year, SK Innovation plans to donate a total of 300 million KRW, following last year, and provide about 60,000 meals to 650 children at risk of food insecurity. Up to this year, SK Innovation has donated a total of 1.4 billion KRW to the Happiness Alliance project and plans to support about 215,000 meals for 3,250 children at risk of food insecurity.
