Significant Expansion of Media Facade Within the Complex
"Broadcasting Messages of Comfort and Hope to Customers Weary from COVID-19"

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Yuri] Lotte World Tower has transformed the entire complex into a 'Winter Wonderland' and marked the beginning of the Christmas season.

On the 22nd, Lotte World Tower lit up a 15-meter classic Christmas tree decorated with over 30,000 crystals in collaboration with Swarovski at the Arena Plaza in Songpa-gu, Seoul, delivering hope and comfort to customers exhausted by COVID-19, the company announced on the 23rd. Sculptures featuring Lotte's new brand slogan, "New Today, Better Tomorrow," were also installed on both sides of the tree.

The lighting ceremony featured various events including congratulatory performances by Shin Sung-rok, the lead actor of the musical "Jekyll & Hyde" currently running at Charlotte Theater, singer Davichi, and a coffee sharing event by "Angel-in-us."

The 555-meter-high Lotte World Tower's exterior media facade (external wall screen) displayed pattern lighting in red, green, and white symbolizing Christmas, creating the largest Christmas tree on the ground. The display can be seen from anywhere with a view of Lotte World Tower until December 26.

At the Arena Plaza, the lawn square in front of Lotte World Tower, a Christmas multimedia show runs every 14 minutes from 5 PM to 10 PM. Over 4,000 digital snowflakes, starlight, and Milky Way lights are projected onto the World Mall walls in sync with Christmas carols. This year, the LED media facade on the south and west walls of World Mall and the upper wall of AvenueL was expanded by 5,266㎡ (approximately 1,593 pyeong), adding more splendor.

Under the Charlotte Bridge connecting AvenueL and the shopping mall, gobo lights (lighting equipment that projects letters or images onto the ground at night) were installed to decorate the plaza floor with snowflake lighting. Near the Arena Plaza, a luminaria tunnel was created with dazzling lights.

A surprise gift never experienced before at Lotte World Tower is being prepared, and various newly opened stores are waiting for customers during Christmas."

Meanwhile, the 'Lotte Pleasure Box' campaign ceremony by Lotte Corporation and Lotte Welfare Foundation was also held on the same day. Since 2013, a total of 57,291 boxes have been delivered through the 'Lotte Pleasure Box,' a sharing activity providing practical aid to neighbors in need. This year, in collaboration with the international relief and development NGO Save the Children, the campaign prepared to help vulnerable groups have a warm winter. The 'Lotte Pleasure Box,' consisting of various winter supplies, will be distributed to 1,700 children including abuse victims and children from low-income families starting at the end of this month.
