Asiana Airlines Resumes Guam Route Operations After 18 Years

[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Je-hoon] Asiana Airlines announced on the 22nd that it will resume flights to Guam starting from the 23rd of next month. With this, Asiana Airlines will operate the Guam route again after 18 years.

Asiana Airlines is resuming flights to Guam due to the gradual increase in overseas travel demand following the 'phased return to normal life.' Asiana Airlines' Guam flights depart from Incheon International Airport at 9:00 AM and arrive in Guam at 2:25 PM, with return flights departing Guam at 4:00 PM and arriving in Incheon at 7:30 PM.

Asiana Airlines plans to operate the Guam route twice a week (Thursdays and Sundays) and will deploy the latest model, the Airbus A321neo (with 188 seats).

Upon entering Guam, a COVID-19 vaccination completion certificate in English and a negative COVID-19 test result are required, and travelers can enter immediately without quarantine or additional testing. However, travelers must undergo a PCR test within 72 hours before returning to Korea. The Guam Visitors Bureau is providing free PCR tests for returnees to Korea.

Oh Kyung-soo, Head of Passenger Division at Asiana Airlines, said, "We are closely monitoring the increasing number of overseas travelers in line with the With-Corona trend and plan to flexibly expand routes and schedules according to overseas travel demand."
