Seoul City to Hold First 'Seoul Young-Tech Talk Show' at Citizen Hall Hwaljjag Lounge on 24th

YouTuber 'Sinsa Imdang' in Economic Investment Field Gives Lecture on the Necessity of Youth Financial Planning

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] Seoul City announced on the 22nd that the 'Seoul Youngtech' offline education project, a talk show supporting young people's successful financial technology, will be held on the 24th at the Citizen Hall Hwaljjak Lounge.

The Seoul Youngtech project, which started on the 12th, provides financial technology education and financial counseling to Seoul residents aged 19 to 39, helping young people acquire proper financial technology knowledge and build assets according to their current asset status to achieve economic independence.

The first Seoul Youngtech talk show will feature a lecture titled "Financial Technology Needed for Youth" by YouTuber Shinsaimdang (Joo Eon-gyu), who has 1.64 million subscribers in the financial technology field.

The talk show will be hosted by announcer Lee Kang-jun and will proceed for one hour in the order of a congratulatory video message from the mayor, a lecture by YouTuber Shinsaimdang, and a Q&A session with on-site and online participating youth. It will be broadcast live online.

The Q&A session for youth will last about 25 to 30 minutes, during which the lecturer will respond to questions from 10 pre-selected youth and those participating via an open chat room.

Starting with the first talk show, Seoul Youngtech talk shows will be held at least once a month with timely topics and related experts, enabling interactive communication.

Meanwhile, Seoul Youngtech non-face-to-face financial counseling is available free of charge to any Seoul resident youth aged 19 to 39 through application on the Seoul Youth Portal, and online education courses are also available.

Kim Cheol-hee, head of the Seoul Future Youth Planning Team, said, “In addition to virtual assets, which have recently become an issue, we have prepared the Seoul Youngtech talk show every month with topics and lecturers that young people would be interested in,” adding, “Financial counseling can be applied for anytime through the Seoul Youth Portal besides offline education, so we ask for a lot of interest from young people.”
