[Asia Economy Reporter Na Ye-eun] Actress Kim Bu-seon (60), who had threatened legal action against lawyer Kang Yong-seok (52), the legal representative in the damages claim lawsuit against Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party presidential candidate, suddenly apologized.

On the 18th, Kim Bu-seon posted on her Facebook, "Lawyer Kang worked really hard preparing civil and criminal lawsuits against Lee Jae-myung for several years. I overreacted about what was said that day, and I apologized for that, but I was petty and made personal attacks. I apologize to those who apologize behind my back."

She continued, "To lawyer Kang Yong-seok and Mr. Kim Se-ui, I apologize for protesting harshly and speaking rudely. I guess my sense of victimization was too big. The truth is, I am such a petty and backward person. I ask for forgiveness," expressing her apology repeatedly.

She added, "(To lawyer Kang Yong-seok) I loudly told him to resign immediately, but inside I kept shouting 'Please protect me,' so it seems I also urgently need mental healing," and "I will call lawyer Kang in the afternoon to have a nice meal and reconcile."

Furthermore, Kim Bu-seon said, "I strongly refused the lawyer's fees, but since I had some money collected, I told him to at least accept the minimum expenses, so I gave a small amount. He sent that money back. I will send it again," and "A lot of money was spent on the lawsuit, but I never bragged about it. I am ashamed," she conveyed.

Earlier, Kang Yong-seok and former MBC reporter Kim Se-ui revealed private stories about Kim Bu-seon and candidate Lee on the YouTube channel 'Garosero Research Institute.' In response, on the 13th, Kim Bu-seon announced that she had notified lawyer Kang of his dismissal, saying, "I hate Kang Yong-seok more than Lee Jae-myung."

Subsequently, 'Garosero Research Institute' uploaded a video titled 'Reasons to Support Actress Kim Bu-seon' and apologized to her.

However, Kim Bu-seon expressed displeasure, saying, "Kang Yong-seok, delete the problematic video from the 10th. If you have a lot of money, just leave it alone. I am going to the court. I will respond seriously."

Meanwhile, Kim Bu-seon claims to have dated candidate Lee for about a year starting in 2007. On the other hand, Lee's side denied her claims, describing Kim as a pathological liar and habitual drug user, and Kim Bu-seon filed a damages claim lawsuit worth 300 million won against Lee in September 2018, citing mental and financial damages.

The fourth hearing of the damages claim lawsuit, scheduled to be held on the 10th at the Seoul Eastern District Court, was postponed to January next year after Lee Jae-myung's side's request for a date change was accepted.
